Core Energy Meditation: Secrets To LASTING Personal Transformation And Holistic Healing

Editor’s Note: Hello Angels! It's Angelique. I hope you've all had a spectacular Holiday. I have a few videos and interviews up for you soon... but meanwhile, I invited my friend and meditative healer, Kevin Schoeninger to share with you his amazing healing journey and secrets! I'll be sharing an interview with him really soon so here's your chance to ask him all your energy healing questions! Enjoy! :)

kevin-s

Hello, everyone. I'm Kevin Schoeninger. Angelique has invited me to share with you some healing secrets I discovered over the course of my 27 years of teaching meditation.

But first, let me tell you a little bit about my healing journey.

It began in the summer of 1984. Then, I had just graduated from St. Joseph's University in Philadelphia and I was inspired by the idea of going on a backpacking trip out west. I was definitely a city-boy and hadn’t done backpacking of any sort and most definitely, had never been beyond the Mississippi.

So I embarked on my little 'adventure' in August that year and traveled through Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and Wyoming. I explored the Canyonlands, the Grand Canyon, and Yellowstone National Park and many other places, really... but what struck me most on that trip http://www.asterdata.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/blue_sky11.jpgwas the clear spacious sky that stretches out for miles in that part of the country! Not just that, I found myself surrounded by a kind of peace, quiet and stillness I had not found anywhere else before!

As I sat on the plane home at the end of my trip, I felt an overwhelming sense of contentment. I was completely peaceful, my mind was still, and I felt no attachment to anything. In fact, I was free. From that transcendent experience, one very important thing became very clear to me...

I wanted to stay in that state and find ways to reproduce it, deepen it, and expand it.

So I started searching for ways to make that transcendent experience a part of my life.

As fate, God, or the Universe would have it, a week after I returned, a catalog arrived in my mail. Browsing through it, I came upon a class called T’ai Chi, under a teacher named Andrew Heckert, and that's when my journey of discovery began...

Secret #1: Body Center Breathing Helps You Manage And Gather Your Vital Energy

T’ai chi focuses on helping you to build both mental presence and physical vitality through three main energy centers:

  • Lower "Dantian" or Body Center (located in your lower abdomen)
  • Middle "Dantian" or Heart Center (located in the center of the chest)
  • Upper "Dantian" or Mind Center (in the center of the brain).

Whhttp://www.trip-to-china.com/pics/taichi2.jpgile practicing T'ai Chi, I discovered that the lower "Dan Tian" was part of an intricate set of energy centers, accupoints, and paths or meridians that circulated life-energy throughout my body.

Focusing on your Lower "Dantian" can help you to reorient yourself and further develop your awareness, both internally and externally. When combined with Qigong meditation, it can help you release your mind and body of tension and teaches you to sense, gather and store vital energy.

Secret #2: Focus on Your Heart Center Enables You To Shift Your Energetic Vibration To A Positive State At Will

http://www.d1mr.com/u/fp/2007-12/10/7601591.jpgDid you know that the electro-magnetic energy field of your heart is by far the strongest field generated in your body? In fact, it is up to 5000 times stronger than the energy field generated by your brain. Also, by generating core heart feelings in the space of your heart, you can dramatically shift your experience to the positive.

Core heart feelings such as appreciation, gratitude, and trust bring your heart, your physiology, and your brain into incredible synergy, so that your whole system works together smoothly. Here's what happens to your body when you heal your core heart feelings:

  • Your brain waves slow down,
  • Your heart-rate also becomes more coherent
  • Your respiration deepens
  • Your digestion and immune response improves
  • You're rewarded with a general sense of positivity and well-being.

But what struck me most was that just about anyone could learn to self-generate this state and use it to release negative emotions and solve challenges in their lives!

Secret #3: Focusing On Your Mind Center Helps You Develop A Clear and Healing Awareness

http://static.howstuffworks.com/gif/brain-orgasm-glow.jpgIn 1994, I began training in the Reiki system of self-healing. During an initiation ceremony for this practice, I experienced a tingling sensation in the center of my brain. Over the course of the day, this tingling became stronger and stronger.

It was as if the center of my brain, and then my upper brain, lit up with energy.

To this day, whenever I focus on the center of my brain, that energetic sensation is there immediately

My Reiki instructors said that I was experiencing the opening of my higher brain centers, but they didn’t have much more to say about it, so I began to investigate the meaning of this event. That's when I discovered Kriya Yoga.

The Kriya Yoga tradition is a holistic practice involving your mind, body, energy system, diet, and even meditation. However, the emphasis in Kriya Yoga practice is on developing the upper brain centers -- your Mind Center.  Focus on your Mind Center helps you calm your nervous system and facilitates clear, open awareness. In that clear awareness, you will come to understand that you are an expression of the One Life that we all share.

Through Open-Focus training, you can develop an inner sense of space, silence, and timelessness which facilitates your experience of open, clear, spacious awareness. This diffused immersed style of attention has helped almost all my students relieve their stress and clear their Mind Centers quickly and efficiently.

Secret #4: Opening Your Central Channel Is Vital For You To Function As A Synergistic WHOLE

In Qigong, there is an energetic map of three energy centers I mentioned. But it also talks about the Central Channel that connects them, but Qigong seemed to offer no formal practice to simply and directly worked this pattern.

So I began to work these three practices by myself into a logical sequence. I did Qigong breathing to strengthen the vital energy of my Body Center, generated core heart feelings in my Heart Center, and focused into a sense of open, clear, spacious awareness in my Mind Center. To connect them together, I focused on a Central Channel running vertically through my body that connected all these three.

I realized that what I had discovered was an ideal way to work with the qualities of each energy center and a way to connect them through the Central Channel.  Each of these features of your energetic anatomy adds a quality, a dimension to your energetic vibration:

  • Your Body Center adds strength and vitality
  • Your Heart Center adds positive emotion
  • Your Mind Center adds clarity
  • Your Central Channel adds coherence by connecting the energy centers together, so that you function as a synergistic whole.

As I worked this inner energetic template, I found myself expanding and integrating. I felt whole and well. I now had one practice that addressed each aspect of my being and integrated them energetically.

http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k128/angelicdevil619/meditation.jpgBecause this energetic template represents the core of who we are, I called the practice Core Energy Meditation™.

In Core Energy Meditation you become aware of these four dimensions of your being and learn to use the sensing qualities of these four energetic features to guide your life. Through this practice you discover “who you are” and are able to discern “what you are here to do now.”

Secret #5: The Key Lasting Personal Transformation

The key to personal transformation is simple, really -- daily practice.  While you will likely feel relaxed and more at peace after a single practice session, significant and enduring transformation comes as a result of consistent practice over an extended period time.

I’ve also come to understand that you need a clear, simple, effective method if you are going to practice consistently. Without a good method you won’t be able to focus your attention and get results. Which was the core philosophy I adhered to when developing Core Energy Meditation. Because I knew that if it wasn't simple enough for me, it wouldn't be simple enough for ANYBODY. So I worked my program so that in as little as 20 minutes a day you can stimulate your growth as a whole person and improve the results you get in your life.

Secret #6: Manifesting & the Law of Attraction

If you are going to do something every day, your “why” has to be strong. This final piece came to me as I investigated my motivation for practicing.

In that past few years, “The Law of Attraction” has become a popular field of study. Basically, the Law of Attraction says that “energetic vibrations tend to attract like vibrations”.  We have learned from “The Secret” and many other sources that the key to success in all areas of life is to shift our vibration to match that which we desire. In other words, minding your inner state is the foundation for realizing your ideal possibilities.

If you want prosperity, shift into prosperity consciousness, and prosperous circumstances flow more easily to you.

So If you want health, shift into a healthy inner state to promote healthy cells.

So when I developed Core Energy Meditation, I made it so that it would enable anyone to shift into a strong, positive, clear, and coherent energetic vibration or what I call a Core Energy State. In this ideal state you connect deeply with “who you are” and “what you are here to do now” and you open yourself to receive that in your life. You release your personal limits and act with a greater sense of ease and purpose.

http://www.visionmagazine.com/archives/0710/images/law-of-attraction-vertical.jpgIn the final stage of my program, you spend some time sensing, imagining, and feeling your ideal possibilities. You allow those possibilities to arise from the core of our being, you experience them as real here and now, and you listen for appropriate action.

Core Energy Meditation is rooted in the energetic anatomy of qigong, the philosophy of Taoism and Kriya Yoga, the latest research in physics, biofeedback, and HeartMath™, and my interactions with countless teachers and students. From this complex web, Core Energy Meditation emerged as a universal and comprehensive system for personal growth and spiritual development and can also help to enhance the effectiveness of any other therapy, personal growth technique, or spiritual practice.

It is, very honestly, the most powerful transformational tool that I have found.

Thank you for taking the time to read this blog post. Angelique will be interviewing me for you guys very, very soon and during that interview, I'll be guiding you through a short 7-minute meditation practice I do with my students. :) Aside from that, if you have any questions for me, do feel free to comment below. I'll be more than happy to answer them either here or in the coming interview.

I'm looking forward to connecting with you again.

Thank you so much for organizing the step by step process in such an easy way. This process is so important now in our evolution as lightworkers as soon we will be working with the masses in their evolution as to learning who we all are.

Excellent. I tried the 6 min. meditation over some minor stress about loosing my weekly housekeeper. (Oh, did I say minor? ha, ha :)
Anyway, it worked well. I meditate regularly but have noticed that each teacher seemed to focus on one of these three areas more than the other two. So, I really zoned right in on what he said about all 3 areas being charged. I bought the program which is priced so reasonably and I'm looking forward to using it. All 3 areas supercharged!! Thank you for this.

Hello Kevin, thank you for these secrets!!
Like you, I have a long list of all kind of studies to search deeper and deeper who/what is the essential me..!
How can I live up to my highest and can inspire others to do the same, because I always want to share..
Recently I had a kind of explosion in my head, that really frightened me, but after checking speaking, walking..etc.,
the only thing that was different was, besides being dizzy for a while was that a tingling sensation felt at the upper backside of my head. A space of about 5cm diameter, now after 2 months, I still feel like there is constantly something going on energetically. It feels also a bit like pressure, not pain. MRI was OK!
Could you shed some light what this can be?
    THANKS!
    Shanti, The Netherlands.

Thank you for explaining this technique for us. Intuitively it makes all kinds of sense. I'm currently re-reading Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch, and just last night (in the bathtub : ) I read the portion regarding the significance of triads (Father, Son, Holy Ghost, past, present, future, etc.) And, since we're all One, the Central Channel connecting the three centers is like poetry in motion. It's the macrocosm within the microcosm! As always, the universe has seen to it to bring me perfectly synchronistic information. Thanks again! Light, love and peace to all.

    Kevin, thank you.

I received your offer in an email and although it sounded good, I was unsure. The marketing spiel that goes with all on line offers is always good. I wanted to know more about 'Core Energy Meditation' and the one who advocates its use. This article did just that. I have used Qigong and Holosync plus other meditation techniques and although all have produced results I felt there could be more.
I hope your technique deepens the results gained from using these others, as I do not intend to give them up.
I am impressed. I can feel your honesty and good intentions. I will accept your offer.

Many thanks. I will keep in touch and let you know how it goes.

    Hi to all,
Thank you for your comments on my article above and on the Core Energy Meditation technique. I can see that you are a sincere group here.

To Shanti's question about energetic sensation at the back of the head:

Since you didn't describe any accident or concussion and your MRI looks good, I would suggest that you are experiencing an energetic opening there. Through my years of energy meditation, I have periodically experienced strong energetic awakenings at various points and centers through my body. The point where your spine enters your skull, called the Jade Pillow point, is an important passage for energy that is rising up the spine in the Governor meridian. It is often blocked by tension, so when it opens this can be intense.

As a general principle, when energy opens strongly in one area, relax, breathe slowly and deeply, and allow it to flow. Don't try to accentuate it or to stop it. Observe it with detachment without being carried away by it. You can facilitate balanced energy flow by practicing opening the key energy centers, points, and pathways through your body. Core Energy Meditation is one way to do this, as are t'ai chi and qigong meditation.

    Best wishes in your practice,
    Kevin

Pls refer to the Indian stream of spritualism. You have pointed on three vital centres in the human body. But there are 7 vital places each with its significant importance. These points are called "The Chakra". First one is near the root of spinal cord called "Muladhar Chakra", 2nd under the genitials called "Swadhishthan",3rd at the neval "Manipoor", 4th at the heart centre or chest, little above the diaphragm"Hridaya", 5th at the throat "Anahat" sixth in the centre of brain "Aagya" and 7th is called "Sahsrars Chakra" at the top of human body.

    Kevin,

    Hi!

I have a question. I have been meditating now for about 4 years at least 1 hour a day. I go through different stages of conciousness from being totally alert to being totally unconcious. Sometimes I just seem to go somewhere else. Is this normal?
I would like to be able to be 100% alert and not have my brain feel like soup when I come out of my meditation. When I come to conciousness I can't pinpoint where I lost it as I feel as though I have dragged myself back from another world or another existence. Will this improve the more I meditate?
I thought that it could be because I am tired or haven't eaten correctly. However the unconciousness doesn't always coincide with those times of tiredness and poor diet. By the way I do exercise daily. I do Oxycise as this seems to expand my lungs and helps with keeping the body flexible. Also these times of unconciousnes during meditation seem to be good for me as I feel very tired if I don't meditate for a day or two.
What I mean is these times don't seem to be doing me any harm, maybe I need this at this time. Just need to know if I'm doing it correctly.
I have started on your program. Have only done it twice so far and was very uncomfortable, lots of attention on the body. The position you suggest is not the position I have been using for meditation. I have been sitting with legs in front, and soles of the feet together, with my back supported. So I am having a little difficulty getting used to the new position.
Would it be okay if I did your program in my usual position or do I need to use the position you suggest?
Will continue to use your technique and see what comes up.

    Love and good thoughts,
    Isabella

    Dear Kevin,
Your piece on meditation is very insightful. As a psychologist, I am interested in how the mind works and how our body functions as a result of what we feed our mind. I have been trying to enter meditation states from time to time. But I now realize that it should not be an on and off thing.
Meditation can heal. Breathing exercises help. A positive attitude is a must for many areas in life. I know all these and that all these must have consistency. Thank you for sharing what you know about meditation. It has helped me put an accent on practice; practice makes perfect. Yes, I need to practice what I know. Thank you. Thank you again and again thank you.

    Good Evening,

I have been trying to learn these techniques for close to a year and I am having difficulty like someone doesn't want me to. It sounds wierd but I think that I have unlocked a part of my brain because I have been through so much loss within these last 3 years that I wish on no one it feels as if I died heartbroken. I am currently trying sublimminal messaging for self confidence, etc and hope I can learn to relax. I need to stay focused and get centered but it's hard for me to get alone because of relationship he gets putting me in corner, etc when I ask for time alone. It's not suppose to be this way, I am looking forward to applying these techniques in my life. God Bless

    Hi to all,
To Vikas, the energy centers that we use in Core Energy Meditation are the three dantians from Chinese qigong practice. They relate to the spinal chakras, but are different energy centers found in the Central Channel of the body. I find the dantians easier to work with and the Central Channel a powerful way to integrate them.

To Isabella, you can use whatever posture is comfortable to you. However, there are certain benefits, such as grounding your energy, energy flow into the body center, and spinal alignment, strengthening, and tension release that you will get from sitting as I suggest. You may try sitting forward on a chair with your feet flat on the ground without back support for a few minutes, then sit back against support as you need to. Gradually expand the time you sit as suggested.

As for discomfort when you practice, these sensations will likely resolve as you continue and become adept at the posture.

If you find yourself "going unconscious" when you practice, you might try shorter sessions of say 20 minutes once or twice a day, so you can stay alert. As you go deeper into meditation, your consciousness will shift states and this can feel disorienting when you "come back" from it. This too will become familiar and will stabilize.

Thanks to everyone for your comments. And thanks to Angelique for leading this forum in such an enlightened, loving, and joyful way.

    Enjoy your practice,
    Kevin

This sounds very interesting and I would be interested in learning this. I have a bad left hip which is going to be evaluated 2/9 for possible replacement. I'm a young, just turned 63 except for this hip, which has kept me from walking or any exercise for over a year. T'ai chi is something I think I could do IF I could find it here (I live in rural MT.) If there's a way, please contact me so I might learn more. Thank you
